Camp Olympia offers several clinics for those campers interested in participating more in specific sports. These clinics are an additional fee.
During the Montgomery County school vacations, we are pleased to offer our popular horseback riding camp for children ages 7 - 16, all levels of abilities. The hours are 9:00 am - 3:00 pm with extended care available for an additional fee. The children learn about the horses and work hands on with the animals. Participants will have a riding lesson twice each day, learn how to groom, saddle and care for the horse. It's a full day of horse fun! Children should wear long pants, smooth, hard soled shoes and a lunch. Limited enrollment. $400 per week or $80 per day.
We also offer one-day camp opportunities similar to the above camps when Montgomery County Schools are closed. The cost is $80 per day. Please contact us if you have any questions. More riding camp information
Although horseback riding is a regular camp activity, the Horsemaster's Clinic provides a great opportunity for your child to expand their knowledge through a concentrated program of riding and theory geared towards individual abilities and skills. This program is offered for all levels of ability and includes four additional mounted lessons and one unmounted lesson per week. Please note, this is a weekly program and the fee remains the same regardless of days missed.
The daily tennis clinic provides an opportunity for children to participate in a more intensive tennis program. This is available for all abilities and is geared for campers who want to learn the basics of tennis and for those who want to improve their skills. They will practice ball control, leg movement, serving and volleying. Campers will participate in various skill building exercises.
The Swimming Clinic offers an additional swim lesson each day and is customized to the ability of each child. All levels of swimmers are encouraged to attend.
